Another sappy one I guess

                                                       Hero

Its the little things that matter,

Like the way you  can't bear ,

To see me cry,

Its the little things that matter,

The way you never think ,

I'm being way to sensitive,

Even when I loathe this ,

Weakness in myself,

You would walk through the pouring rain,

To rescue a pet that means so much,

Because you know how much I hurt,

That's what makes you my hero.

You don't need to straddle a steed,

Or charge in guns blazing,

For me to recognize you for what you are,

My knight in shining armor,

I would never choose to be a damsel in distress,

But if I have to be saved then the hero could only be you.

I wrote this because it reminded me to appreciate what I have.

This is lovely Vidya...and youve tapped into something that goes unrecognized in the world. The everyday heros are the ones who would hold our hand or hug us when we are struggling. Being a hero doesnt require extravagant acts or superman feats...it only requires the willingness to put another above ones self. To love without expectation.... to have this hero in your life is a blessing. I enjoyed this poem....
