Hero

Hero

A Poem by Vidya Bacchus
"

Another sappy one I guess

"
                                                       Hero

Its the little things that matter,
Like the way you  can't bear ,
To see me cry,
Its the little things that matter,
The way you never think ,
I'm being way to sensitive,

Even when I loathe this ,
Weakness in myself,
You would walk through the pouring rain,
To rescue a pet that means so much,
Because you know how much I hurt,
That's what makes you my hero.

You don't need to straddle a steed,
Or charge in guns blazing,
For me to recognize you for what you are,
My knight in shining armor,
I would never choose to be a damsel in distress,
But if I have to be saved then the hero could only be you.

Thank you Stars :)
Amazing piece Vidya! I really love this one ^_^ I like how the hero portrayed here, anyone who saves and rescues someone without the usual knight and shining armor image. This is the real definition of a hero. Well done!

You definitely should appreciate what you have!! This is beautiful, Vidya! To have a man who cares so much about everything you are and what you feel, that is something beautiful in itself! Stunning job with this! xo (:

Hahaha true that :)
I love the way you supersede conventional ideas of heroes, especially about men being unassailable and rugged. You explore the value of caring very elegantly in your poem. Enjoyed reading :)

Thank you very much Abizar :)
Heroes come in all forms and sizes. The one who helps the damsel in distress is a very noble one too. I know he means a lot to you. A wonderful write and encouraging one too...:)..................
