The Siren's Song

The Siren's Song

A Poem by Vidya Bacchus
"

Following a path that is already set

"
                       Siren's Song

In another time penned by a kinder poet,

You would be mine,

Unfettered by the chains that bind you,

Have you not felt me?

In the rustling trees?

Have you not discovered me?

Hiding just in the fringes of your memories?

Don't you hear my laughter?

Echoing in your mind?

We have met through lifetimes past,

Our destinies merged into a single path.

Whose map is etched on our very soul.

Surrender yourself to my siren's song,

And bask in its seductive serenade,

Sink deep in the ocean of my promises,

And let the phantom desires of your heart,

Enshroud you within its beckoning rhapsody.

And realize you know my song by heart.

Very lovely Vidya. Your pen is strong in this one. It speaks sultry and magnetically and its muscles tug at my desires. You found a sweet spot on the page. Very nice :)

Aww hey Xavier its been a while. How are you?Thank you very much :)
There's not way to tell how well-penned this poem is. Words in this case go beyond comunication, they show, they sing, they make you think. Loved it !

Oh WOW... I loved this, the song of love echoing over a lifetime to find the one that is already on another path that leads them away from you. Such a beautiful write, felt deeply and relatable... gorgeous.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this...my pleasure! :)
The author seems to be longing for her destined true love to recognize her song. A wonderful write, Vidya, I have emerged, and put the "stuff" back in the box for a bit. To sort another day.

Very glad to see you Kit Kat.Thank you very much :)
Sounds like telepathic love. Two people speaking to one another that aren't speaking, but know they are destined for each another. A beautiful piece. A unique kind of seduction, one of the mind more so. Very well penned, my friend.
