Caged

Caged

A Poem by Vidya Bacchus
"

Everything you ever wanted.

"

                 The cage of your life

I see it ,that hunted look on your face,

I recognize it,

Like so many times before,

You're looking for a way out,

Clawing at this cage that is your life.

I can't soothe you,

Because I am your jailer,

In your eyes ,I put you there,

And you will escape,

You have before.

And I will search all your favoured haunts,

And you won't be there,

I will wonder ......is this the time,

When freedom would mean everything,

Is this the time ......when I will mean nothing.

I try so hard to understand your panic,

At having everything you ever wanted,

And being stifled by it,

Till you can't think, for wanting out,

And I ...........can't.

Pretty deep spoken words Vidya:) Did an awesome job. Sometimes my friend it take that very person to go before a road of hell to reach the heavens clouds, That's just how it is and we must let it be:)))))))))))))))))))))

Your very welcome my dear friend:))))))))))))))))))))))))
Nice and interesting poem. I think it's not that simple and behind the strong melancholy there remains equally strong reasons. That's what i think.

Thank you Sourav,I believe you may be right :)
The Buddhists say the basis of human suffering is selfish desire. No matter what we have it never seems to be enough and we're driven half mad by a perpetual craving for something we don't know what it is. Makes sense to me.

Thank you Baby seems to me the Buddhists knew what they were talking about :)
I think people never want happiness, they just want to try hard for reaching to a place that they think will make them happy and when they reach the destination they themselves change it to another place. Strange . A very thought provoking piece

And it is your life so you do actually know best:)
Hmm... good question, why is it that some drown in pain while others are able to lift themselves out of the heartbreak, emptiness, loneliness, abuse...the list goes on. There are many reasons I believe, and we could never truly pinpoint just one. So sometimes I feel it is simply our place to just be the light the other needs to shine through their darkness. Wonderful thought provoking write.

Thank you so very much Kalypso .Your words are very much appreciated :)
This tells so much, my dear. Some people don't want the change. Some like to linger in that pain. A sad truth. xo (:
