Great piece, something definitely caught my attention, the way you use ..., it's not that usual to have so many of them in a poem, it surprised me. The topic is as ancient (so many poets talked about it before) as interesting.
Loved it

Great piece and I think about that too Vid. It's like they prefer living in chaos but some people or looking for attention because they didn't get it as a kid. If moaning and crying will get them sympathy that's what they seem to do and sometimes you can't be what you don't know. It's a sad thing but for me it takes to much energy. I like they way you have depicted someone unhappy as being caged being offered the opportunity to free themselves if they would only open the door.

The true path to happiness is not having everything you want, but wanting everything you have...
I like the write Vidya. You have a great way of bringing real life to the page in vivid detail.
Well done with the writing. Good luck with the relationship...
Happiness is so much more elusive than pain. I think reflection is the key to this infection. Your poem speaks to that, stopping to think about all the blessings rather than the burdens. This is very well written and oh so true.

Thank you Blue.We should realize all we have and appreciate it :)
Wow. I can relate to this all too much in my current situation. I feel like the trapped one. Why can't people let themselves be happy? I think humans are inherently masochistic and feel guilt for happiness. Painful, but realistic view of many relationships. Bravo.

WOW.. This is intriguing..
I understand the need to capture and yet I also understand the feeling of being suffocated...
It's double-edged sword, indeed!
