Angry

Angry

A Poem by Vidya Bacchus
"

When you run out of excuses.

"

                  ANGRY

I made excuses for you at every turn,

And polished and pasted,

To make your sins seem less than,

The monumental treachery that they were.

I am so angry,

That you keep proving to me,

Just what you really are,

And I have run out of excuses.

It is amazing that you cannot see,

The way you tear me apart,

The way I still yearn to be near you,

Even bleeding and broken beyond repair.

To you I am the unreasonable one,

And you have erred not at all,

I am screaming so loud because I need you to understand,

That I have no justification for you.

And I give up,

You will never change into the you,

That I believed you were,

And I have run out of reasons to remain at your side.

Thanks for sharing Vidya.
I enjoy reading powerful poems like this.

This is my favourite stanza........

"I made excuses for you at every turn,

And polished and pasted,

To make your sins seem less than,

The monumental treachery that they were."

Sometimes we get so disappointed in people we love and trust.
To a point where even the excuses we make for them do not make sense anymore.

I know your situation Vidya

Thanks again for sharing this beautiful piece

A painful realization but an empowering one. A very eloquent piece.

The lunge and parry of a relationship is always complicated but when one is incapable of being accountable the game is rigged from the very start.

A deep sense of despair and agony is reflected through your words. It is a beautiful with very strong emotions and captures the sunset of a relationship and the fight inside.

Thank you Avi for your understanding of my words :)
We often are left fuming when we are angry on a loved one, and its the worst kind of anger. It's because they are the ones to whom we never had to give any explanation for our actions and hence it was never required. When there is some thing wrong and we have to explain it, it becomes so much difficult, our mind keeps telling us there is no need to give them any explanation while our guilt consciousness wants to come clean... in all this confusion its really difficult to keep calm no, isn't it ???

Vidya your poems make me think about things differently and I have to thank you for that :).

P.S. Anger is a bad burner. Once burnt the mark remains forever.
