Struggling with yourself

          Two sides of the coin

 

I am this person,

But you change me into her,

Who in the blink of the eye ,

Can bring you to your knees ,

With a smile on your face.

 

I am different than she,

Sweeter,quieter,better,

But she has all the fun,

While I am busy being good,

I'm jealous of her sometimes.

 

She knows what she wants,

And exactly how to get it,

With a sultry smile ,

And a wicked gleam in her eyes,

You willingly follow her into the fire.

 

I think she would wreak havoc,

If given half the chance,

And run roughshod over all those in her path,

But I am looking and realizing,

That the only one in her path.....is me.

Wow, this one spoke to me on a very deep level...you've articulated this state of mind perfectly...I'm not sure we're ever content to truly be ourselves, especially the quiet types, which include me. There is always that feeling that we're missing out on things that we assume would make us much more content. I could go on for hours about this one...awesome work Vidya :)

The two sides of the coin are what make me ... ME.

Beautiful pain, expressing the two facets/ many facets of personality in us, there is nothing wrong in it. They (those personality) are their in all the right places, maybe that's what makes us unique and adaptive and hence accept and be loved.

Wonderful poem with a hint of naughtiness sprinkled over the top to keep things spicy. :P
