It must be hard for someone who is set in their ways to have to change.

                                   Terrified Ramblings

 

 

You came so suddenly,

You completely blindsided me,

Leaving me confused and unsure,

Of a reality I believed was written in stone,

A person who has everything in its place ,

Is suddenly overcome by the clutter of your arrival.

 

I could ignore you,

But you are already etched into my memory,

And I am so scared ,

Of feeling an emotion that has no name or distinction,

I am so angry at you,

For scaling my walls ,

They were up for a reason.

 

I am terrified because you don't fit,

And yet you do,

I don't accept what you offer,

I don't accept a relationship that is undefined ,

My heart pounds a punishing rhythm,

Merging with the pace set by yours.

 

Friend or foe ,lover or friend ,

I need to place you in a niche ,

Neatly arranged and understood,

But you refuse to fit,

So I am confused,

Belong where I put you ,

Because this is the only way my mind can deal with you.

I think when you are dead set in something that you do you can't change...a bit like OCD, maybe? I had a friend who was like this and he couldn't change even if he tried hard, he kept going back to his ways... I really like this, it speaks so much truth.

I don't know but it feels like an unsurity towards how the future would be, the future that you have planned and carved for yourself, Will it be perfect? Will it all fall apart? These kind of feelings come to me when I read this poem.

We will never be ready, the unexpected is bound to happen, but then that's what makes life interesting and since anything can happen why not think that life is going to be awesome rather than thinking that life is going to be terrible.
