It must be hard for someone who is set in their ways to have to change.

                                   Terrified Ramblings

 

 

You came so suddenly,

You completely blindsided me,

Leaving me confused and unsure,

Of a reality I believed was written in stone,

A person who has everything in its place ,

Is suddenly overcome by the clutter of your arrival.

 

I could ignore you,

But you are already etched into my memory,

And I am so scared ,

Of feeling an emotion that has no name or distinction,

I am so angry at you,

For scaling my walls ,

They were up for a reason.

 

I am terrified because you don't fit,

And yet you do,

I don't accept what you offer,

I don't accept a relationship that is undefined ,

My heart pounds a punishing rhythm,

Merging with the pace set by yours.

 

Friend or foe ,lover or friend ,

I need to place you in a niche ,

Neatly arranged and understood,

But you refuse to fit,

So I am confused,

Belong where I put you ,

Because this is the only way my mind can deal with you.

I am like this often I think. It is good to not "fit" a definition. We know we bring new life when there are no pre set places we fit into the world. It is uncomfortable for everyone I think, but a wonderful discomfort nonetheless.
Good to read your work today. It felt like you were telling a story about me. ha. Not with you... of course. Just for those eyes who might be confused out there. ;P

Eastern American Elk. Transplanted into lands where these animals were hunted into extinction in western North Carolina. I took this photo from about 40 ft away with my I phone...

You are most welcomed. I love the outdoors. Elk a spiritual creatures to the tribal people here as well. These great Elk bulls are not hunters, but they are seldom prey either. The young ones do fall prey to wolves and black bears. The adults are safe as long as they stay healthy. I relate my own experience in life to much of nature, like these majestic animals.

I'm definitely sorry, I wish i could say i know the feeling but (luckly) i don't, so i can't give you any advice :(
that's definitely well written, want an evidence of it? I've never felt anything like that still, since you made it crystal clear, i can understand the feeling of loss of certitudes, confusion and frustration you feel. Things don't go the way we plan, forget about plans and categories, the only thing that really matters is: does this person make you feel well?

Change may be horrendously painful for those who are not prepared for it. There are those who box themselves in and find the routine of a lifestyle that which brings sanity to them. When another does not into that same lifestyle then there is cause for great agitation which may rock the world for both. When someone does not belong, then they must go into that place that is just for them.
To answer your question - I think they would feel as if they were in the undertow of a tsunami!
