crazy for a day Weary, weary I am so weary, Thinking these thoughts , Running maniacally in my head, Wondering, wondering, Searching for drama where there is none, So they say ,they must be mad.
I should sit still but I am too busy, Doing everything, doing nothing, I am sorry you have to make an appointment, To hold a conversation, Because the voices in my head, Reserved me for the day.
Where is that cackling laughter coming from? Good god was that really me, Shush I think one of the voices got loose, Quick I have to shove them back in my head Can they really all fit ? My head must be huge!!!
How dare you say I'm paranoid!! Who said that? Seriously I am not insane, Is this strait jacket really necessary? If I am mad why do they call you a quack? Stumped you there didn't I ?
Surely you are not a duck ? doc!!! Hahaha I kill me, No ,no I am not serious it was a joke, Seriously you ducks need to get a sense of humor, I refuse to take these pills, It is unanimous my friends and I agree.
If you lend me your coat, I could be the doctor today, I'll even let you wear my custom made jacket, Who is to say who's crazy? You who just sits and nods and tells me I'm ill Surely you jest.
I can do that, I've practiced my nodding. But these damn pills make me drool, So what I'll wear a bib, Just see ,our difference is really our jackets, So you wear mine today .
The title pulled me into this one lol I felt that this poem was laced with humor throughout, which I really appreciated, but the last line sounded haunting. Saying you wear my jacket today, idk maybe I'm just crazy XD but great poem, it was fun to read!
This poem is outstanding ! Even before reading, you had already conquered me, want to know how?
Your poetic style ! Several six-verses stanzas, that's not common. Then reading I found a wise use of anaphoras which helped providing a good rhythm. The topic? Just so modern ! This kind of topic, this kind of attitude starts to be represented properly in poetry just the last century. Great job !

Wow thank you for this wonderful review.I am so glad that you liked it:)
i quite like this one, it highlights the absurdity of our personas, our roles and the need we all have to let loose and be a little out of control for a while :)

This is right my dear friend.Thank you very much :)
We all seem to be a bit unhinged and taken undone from time to time. But its the ones that say that we are that need more pills to justify their findings. You can be crazy with me any time, just drop in and we will share jackets together.
The point of this is piece is one that I live by with fervent solidarity, every day of my life. Others deem me mentally unstable; who are they to declare who I am, or how I should behave? I live how I choose, and how I feel naturally. If my practices and/or activities disturb others, then they should turn a blind eye and disassociate themselves from me entirely. They should focus on themselves, and no others. I hate these "professionals" that feel self-entitled because they have a piece of paper declaring their status in life. Everybody bleeds the same. Your piece is very good, and I enjoyed it's wit, along with it's message. Well done, friend.

Thank you for addressing this in a wonderful way. :)
very interesting poem and your right it is funny lol but on a serious note i captured the visual from of what you were talking about from everything you wrote....I felt like I was there with you...good job :)
I love it! Who is to say who is crazy? I think we're all a little crazy in one way or another - I know I have my Manic Mondays and Sunday Fundays - and don't mess with them or I'll go a little nuts!
Your talent shines in this creative little gem!
:) Julie
If I'm crazy, then so are you Doc. It takes one to know one, after all. You claim *you're* not crazy, but if that's the case, then what gives you the authority to judge me mental?
I absolutely love this poem. The humour is wicked, and you've hit on the meaningless of administering labels based on perception. Excellent work Vidya! :)
