Knowing you belong with someone and they are all the things you would ever need
My Forever Knight Free me oh brave knight, With the shiniest of swords, Cut down my enemies with a swipe of your blade, And with barely a word steal me away, Upon your swiftest steed, Away with me you ride.
Write me a verse sweet poet, Say words to me that will never belong to another, Bring tears to my eyes and kiss them away, Bury me within your scented embrace, Like the calmest of seas , Let me dance on your shore.
Build me a home dear lover, Where our children's laughter, Rival that of the greatest symphonies, Nod your head contentedly , With a smile on your face, As you let me talk forever about everything and nothing.
Now you my brave knight, Who recites prose and built me a home, I bask in your reality, Never worried that your love will falter, Never happier than in your arms, Never complete when you are not here.
I think this seems to show an underlying need to be rescued by our love and kept safe. We all need to feel that love and to Hero worship our chosen partner is no bad thing as long as we except their faults as well. In poetry we can forget the faults and live the fantasy. Nice.
"He is knight, dubb'd with unhatch'd rapier, and on carpet consideration, but he is a devil in private brawl. Souls and bodies hath he divorc'd three, and his incensement at this moment is so
implacable, that satisfaction can be none but by pangs of deathand sepulchre. Hob, nob, is his word; give't or take't." - Sir Toby: Shakespeare, 'Twelfth Night', Act 3, scene 4 >>>>> Your poem made me think of this. Truly excellent!

Have we shared the garden before I thinketh so..
Have we the likeness of sharing the same window?
I thinketh so.
Fear not, my Winged Lady
For the window of which your lookout view
beholds on light's of day
upon the garden where we planteth our roses Is the true reality :-)
Forgive me I forgot to say: Thank you. Thank you for work done at your window and work done laying seeds of word upon the valley below.

Let it flow and together we will plant as many seeds as we can :-)
The title captured my attention, and the body of the work kept that attention to the very end. I very much enjoyed this piece. It so wonderfully embodies the emotion of a perfect love, while remaining realistic in an understanding that not everything is perfect; a positive contradiction, if you will. It is just simply wonderful. :)

Yes like a fairytale thank you dear, your words are most appreciated:)
I really enjoyed reading this, and I can certainly relate. You make great use of diction here; every word fits really well into the overall message of the poem. And the imagery here is really quite vivid...I can almost picture it in my head, happening in like the Medieval time period and it's just lovely. Really great job here, Vidya :)
