Zucchini Babs girl reporter
It was a hot day in cabbage leaf patch.Zucchini Babs and her friend Tomato Bunny were going to buy ice-creams at the park with their buddy Melongene Magee.Zucchini had her microphone that her daddy had given her for christmas in her hand.She was practicing her reporting a lot lately but she could'nt understand how come whenever she had her mike in her hand the forest looked soo deserted, anyway she figured they were hiding from Tomato Bunny.
He was her friend but she would be the first to admit he was very weird.He was always sure he had caught any virus that happened to be blowing through the forest at the said time.Right now he was insisting that he had caught the swine flu from his neighbour Miss Swine.Just last week he was positive he had crazy cow disease, was it even possible for a rabbit to have crazy cow disease?.She was rather doubtful
Now zucchini loved her friend melongene magee but face it he was sort of an oddball,for one he always had a backpack on his back and the slightest thing could make him mad enough to punch you in the eye,by far she was the most stable of the pack.Zucchini saw old Mister badger being pushed in a wheelchair by his sister Petunia she decided she would interview them, They would be so glad she had chosen them she was sure.
She waved at them showing them her microphone.Was it her imagination or were they moving faster?she speeded up as did they, she was sure she heard Mr badger say"faster Petunia faster"but they were no match for a babs,a bunny and a magee.Petunia was heard to say"sorry brother"Before fleeing as if her life depended on it.Strange thought zucchinni anyway.
"Mr badger"she began seriously"Is it true that you broke your foot while trying to steal some apples from miss tortugas apple tree?Mr badger looked as if he had swallowed a fly she was sure it was because he was so dumbstruct that she was interviewing him."ahem i um er..."said Mr badger as if he could'nt string together a sentence 'At that same moment she was distracted by Tomato bunny holding his chest and lamenting"Oh my this dust is affecting my asthma,I think I'm going to be ill!!
What dust wondered zucchinni to herself oh well.Melongene shook his head as if losing his temper, well zucchini knew what that meant .Tomato would be suffering from something else if she did'nt save her friends from themselves.By the time she had coaxed her friends into a good mood again she could'nt see Mr badger anyway.Where did he go?
Well she was sure he went to to tell his friends about being interviewed by her. People would be rushing out to meet her once they knew where she was.It was now she realized that they had reached the park and she could hear the ice cream van.She decided she would ask mr mokoskin the ice cream ferritt some hard hitting questions.She waved at him and he waved back until he saw her mike then something funny happened he told every one that the ice cream was finished and closed up and hit the braskes as if the forest was on fire.
She was sad as were Tomato and Melongene they sat down on the park bench and wondered what they could do now, when suddenly Melongene Magee pulled of his bag from his back and pulled out ....what was it?could it be 3 popsicles from his bag?but that was impossible it was'nt even melted .He shared it all around without saying a word.Zuccini while opening hers saw Tomato trying to peep into Melongenes bag it was'nt long before she heard tomato scream"my eye my eye I'm blind!!!!"she smiled well tomorrow was another day.
