A Poem by Matt

I can hear her calling my name
As I finish my last cigaret
I should know who I am by now
I can't remember your voice

But holding you that one day
Was enough for me

I'll walk away
Into the sunset once again
Streamleas tears follow all the falling stars
And a burning sunset resembles our fate

A moutaintop crumbling beneath my feet
I grasp at your last breath
Holding onto your words forever
And I told you I didn't need anything

If only I had needed you
Like I do now
If only I knew what had I had always known
Maybe this hole  wouldn't be so apperntly shown

Life is but a dream slipping from our fingertips
And I hold onto every kiss you gave me
Insecureties held me back
Regret is Somthing to linger

I wish upon a star that you were with me now
Under the stars
Waiting

I'll be waiting for you
And I won't be joining you soon but for now
All I can do is pray.

For one everlasting day
Yours forever Matthew.

I Loved this piece. I kinda had to find myself before I actually get back into writing, this is the first piece I read and it's awesome. This piece is full of emotional need, wanting, hurt, pain. Mixed emotions.
"Insecureties held me back
Regret is Somthing to linger"
^^ My Favourite lines. Insecurity is a hrad factor to overcome. A barrier that continues to hold us back. Regret definately is something that lingers. It dawdles behind us. We may try to forget it, but we can't help escape it. This poems Simplicity was intriguing. I really enjoyed this piece. Off to read the 2nd one.

Cheers 4 the read Matt
