Tribulation

Tribulation

A Poem by Matt

Father can you see me,
Walking away tonight... leaving?
I never knew how to talk to you.
And now I'm afraid I've stopped believing.

Doors always slammed behind my footsteps.
Mum always said my curse was my breathing.
Always trying to hide from you...
These truths, long ago i stopped receiving.

Love has shaped this hole...
Hate fills this soul of mine.
Words from a broken heart, lust could never satisfy.

Green eyes, brunet hair, deadly lips.
Long for the past in her eyes.
Her words always make this heart tear.

Regret calls out in shame.
A deadly friend I share.
Addiction fills my depression.
Like blood stained in peaceful snow.

Hear my muffled screams at night
When they look for me...

They wont find what is fair.

Wow... This is a very strong poem. I've felt that way so many times before. Great work. Your point and your feelings come across perfectly.
