Concrete Girl

Concrete Girl

A Poem by Matt

No regrets.

Dreams of never ending passion.
I had to take my chance.

Walk you home, holding your hand.
You keep talking not even looking at me.

Your life was always so much busier than mine.
But for one day I stopped moving,
Trying to hold you along.
Plea for you to just stop and listen.
but the world kept moving and you left me alone.
You didn't even notice,
that I was missing.

Will my heart ever grow strong?
My heart, my soul, my will, this hole,
I'll write my own song.

Slowly turn to walk away.
Stronger now, confidence starting to flow.
And i start to see the light..
 but you yelled stay.

You were just a wasted day.
fighting it, trying not to give in!

I turned to look,
but she was gone.
