Antiquing

Antiquing

A Poem by Victor Gamma
"

Thoughts on the experience of Antiquing

ANTIQUING

Softly the whispers of long-forgot lore

speak out from the silence of dust

each of the treasure-junks

plead with a voice

That hovers in stale air like a velvet touch

stripped naked and shuffled off their mooring

we quietly kill them again

if we listen hard enough...i think just like hearing the ocean in shells, antiques can teach us so much about the people who owned them.
and some of us never can get rid of anything, including memories...
so much said in short space...
