A piece that told of kisses and slaps,

Of love and those depraved.

 

A piece of my soul you wanted,

A piece of my soul I gave,

A piece that told of religion and science,

Of beliefs and those who were saved.

 

A piece of my profits you wanted,

A piece of my profits I gave,

A piece that told of the rich and the poor,

Of mansions and alleyways.

 

A piece of my body you wanted,

A piece of my body I gave,

A piece that told of surgery and blood,

I’m gone but I’m glad I gave.
