The Quiet

The Quiet

A Poem by Amethyst Rose

The silence in death makes previous pain all the louder

Such vibrant red in cascading blood drops

Noisier still against the quiet hues of death

Blacks and grays blend to the uniformity of deceased tones

The swiftness in the contrast of a passing mind

Until the quietness of nothing drowns everything out

A powerful poem. You said a lot in so few words. Silence is a two blade sword. We yearn for it and sometime we want to escape the silence. No weakness in the excellent poetry.
