My Burning Man

My Burning Man

A Poem by Amethyst Rose

I feel the fire in you

The fever rising from your mind

From the sickness that is your sorrow

The pain building behind your eyes

Sweat pouring from mental anguish

Flames of desire licking internally outward

Constant scorching of scared flesh

The smoldering hatred and fear in your voice

I reach for hot scars and kiss away the pain

And cool you in my own tears

Hold me and consume me in your fire

My burning man.
