All In Vain

All In Vain

A Poem by Vanessa P

Come and take away
The madness
Invading my head
Find a hiding place
In the shadows
Where I can escape
I can no longer stay here
And remain as I am
The reality is killing me
My lips are quivering
As I cry in agony
The bitterness and hate
Take my oxygen away
Til my lungs are empty
And I lay unconscious
This I'd rather bear
Than live in shame
Of the empty life I've lived

The original:
Can't you take away
This hurt
Pestering inside my head

Won't you hide me
In a corner
Where I won't be seen

Extract my oxygen
Completely empty
So I lay unconscious

This would be easier
For me to bear
Than the shame of life

I can no longer be here
And remain as I am
The reality kills me

My lips are quivering
I cry
As I die with hate

This is a very sad and lonely character you created. Time to die with the knowledge (percieved) that they were a victim of their own pain. How sad. The flow was great in some places and lagged in others, but over all it was a sad, but a nice read.
