RAIN GODDESS

Tiny little droplets
Falling from the heavens
I look up the sky
So cold and grey
Feeling her sadness
On my skin
She continues crying
I can feel her pain

Is your heart broken?
What ails you this way?
I know that feeling
I've been there myself
If you feel like talking
I'll lend you my ears
My shoulders are sturdy
Lay down your head

This is what I had said
I wonder if she heard
My sympathy remains
For her who's left scorn
I hope for her relief
The teardrops will stop falling
And that she'll find comfort
To know that I'm here

Lovely poem. You are the sunshine, always there, waiting patiently, a friend's friend, shoulders sturdy, strong for the laying of heads weary. Beautiful sentiments, gorgeously executed. I smell a rainbow in the air. :-D

Rain is one of my favorite subjects in poetry. I like the way you personified it and gave it soul.
