Escape the Mind

Escape the Mind

A Poem by Vanessa P

I'm annoyed by my lack of inspiration

All this garbage filling my head

Left me in untolerable contemplation

Unable to say what should be said

Now there's an echoing of strange voices

Burning through my ears

I'm lacking the freedom of choices

To listen to what I want to hear

My creative spirit shall remain infested

Until I escape my tortured mind

In the chambers I've invested

My sanity you will eventually find

Quiet now, please let me think in solitude

Strange voices are slowly muffled and fading

I'm able to break free with this fortitude

Hopefully my creativity's regenerating

I know this feeling all to well, sometimes you get so overwhelmed with ideas that it stifles the creative process then when you add in the voice from the outside world they can sometimes overshadow the creative process... I really like your style an the power in your words.
