Dalangin (A Prayer)

Dalangin (A Prayer)

A Poem by Vanessa P
"

This is a poem written in Tagalog. I know most of you won't be able to understand. Hopefully I'll get a chance to write some kind of translation. I just felt like adding it here.

"

Sadyang walang saysay ang buhay

Kung wala ka dito sa aking tabi

Dalangin ko na maging tayo muli

Ngunit aking dalangin di marinig

Aking kahapon nais kong malimot

Author's Note

Vanessa P
Life is meaningless when you're not here by my side. I pray that we'd be together again but my prayer can not be heard. My past I wish to forget because you left me with deep pain. But it's you I still long for and I keep summoning in my dreams. Whenever I am left to think, it's your face I see. And when the world is quite in peace, it's your voice I only hear. Is this truly how it feels for a heart that truly loves? How I wish you didn't forget. Then perhaps it'd still be us. I could not go on when you left But now I'm getting used to this. I no longer seek for you and maybe because there's someone new.

I like the fact that you wrote the poem in tagalog even though i couldn't understand what i was reading it seemed to have a power about it an energy that i liked. then when i read the authors note. i was like wow that is why. i love it many kudos. this is my favorite part. It seems that when one is truely in love that is what happens.
