Lost in a daze

Lost in a daze

A Poem by Vanessa P

I stood there silently
As my mind switched to a subject
I didn't intend to exist

To that relating you and me
My logic wishing to object
To this unexpected twist

I entertained your smile too long
Now as a punishment
I am chastising my brain

This is definitely wrong
My new found amusement
Like the wreckage from a train
