Green Is The Shade of Subtlety

Green Is The Shade of Subtlety

A Poem by Julius Whitfield

Blistering in my eyes
Blistering in my skull

Heated congestion pouring from the clouds
Torrential euphoria, under breathless ecstasy
Stringent yellow substituting my veins
Disease coursing down these streams

Guile portrayed in the silver star's position
Body walking in a field of daggers
Feet coated in cases of blood

Heated congestion pouring from the clouds
Torrential euphoria, under breathless ecstasy
Stringent yellow substituting my veins
Disease coursing down these streams

Consciousness
Acridity
Catalyst
For mania

Existence once again opens beneath skin, flesh, bone, and soul
Liquid escalates from this ruptured throat
A black smoke of coal emits from ashen lungs
Vomit emits onto the green, onto this new shade of subtlety.
