Why Wouldn't You Welcome Change My Friend

Why Wouldn't You Welcome Change My Friend

A Poem by Julius Whitfield
"

my first poem after a year of wandering the universe for inspiration

"

This silent mind
Motionless and paralyzed
Revisiting old anxieties

He is seized by his own
Crippling manifestations

Swallowed whole within
his imagination's black insanities
Where he is gripped and lulled
Into a thick ocean of unadulterated terrors

The violence of the crashing waves thrashing
Along familiarly like exchanges of flesh and lust
In the simmering of nature's compassionate
Withering hatred

This should be enough exposition to show
That the mind is not so black and white
But multifaceted and complex

This is a deep run in philosophy. The nostalgic and malevolence. It is very engaging if you relly think about it; the philosophy is hard to come about. Your language is thick and very dense.

In the end you seem to have given an answer that the mind is complex, and human nature is to be against oneself. I believe that.
