The Feast

The Feast

A Poem by Julius Whitfield

Honey eats through vindication

Honey-dew wrestles with compassion

Honey can feed this dead ego

Honey-dew sold out Jesus Christ

Honey's been keeping you alive

Its gluttony that's killing you

Why do i bother with y our smile

How dare I feed from your cold hands

When you come with fraudulence

Just as you pick from my honey

Honey congregates world warfare

Honey-dew has consistencies

Dissensitizes the beauty

And poisons this society

Work for your honey

Swim in your honey

And just as well die in it
