Unappealing Traits

Unappealing Traits

A Poem by Julius Whitfield

a black mass of ignorance has loomed over me like a death shower

armed with the self-consummation of your ambiguity, you shove your taste of apathy and appeal of oblivious uncertainties

only careless chaste minds are willing to trust you, letting you coerce them, brainwash them

and you still manage to go on

gathering more than before with false hopes and faint promises

but i've grown too intolerant to believe this

to believe that bigotry will lead to purity

and this is where our ties are beaten still

where my individuality will escape you

holystone has scourged your sins that you think you're singed with a blessful glory

and has this holy stone helped you to lie to yourself just as you go on walking blind

isin't it understood that this is why i hate you

shrouded in the only place where i know i can escape you

the place where our ties are beaten still

where no one is full of s**t, because here you're of full of s**t, they're so full of s**t, this world is full of s**t

and i am not appealed

i will not fall behind you

i will not rot beside you

i will only escape
