"
angelic cries shadow the faces of babes. Tar covered petals lay smeared upon their foreheads. Simple hopes have not yet entered the dreams of the innocent;
yet someone is already watching with  hungry eyes.

The serpent sings a tale of whispers, chanting soothing coos. Sweet smells of roasted almonds rest above the flames. The children embrace the sincere snakes kisses,
he delightfully grins with wisdom. They are his kin now. A cool breeze stuns their pure faces, each realizing they are not in the farytale in which it seemed.
Scared children crawl into the damp woods. This was his favorite part. The infants questioned how the sun had disappeared without them even hesitating.
They are blind in the darkness though he can see all. A hole. A complete space of emptiness waiting for such an occasion.

Nothing.

An overwhelming sensation of warth consumes their bodies. The smell of dread along with the wind. The children kiss each other on the cheek and pray.
He smiles following kissing each on the cheek. The babies smile and then it is suddenly over. The serpent soon retreats to his castle below entering a glorious
slumber knowing tomorrow should be so grand.

Isn't it funny how it is always He who finds happiness.
