I Wonder Why

I Wonder Why

A Poem by D.A.Ravenda

So here we sit 5:30

so many mysteries

so many things to get done

so scared

so confused

so hurt

so resentful

so prideful

so regretful

so tired

but so so

So here we sit at 5:31

Wondering

what is on her her mind

what is even on your own

what can you overcome

what choice do you have

what can you do if not die

what escape is there

what did you think would change

what happened to the time

So here we sit at 5:33

Wondering

why are they still awake

why are they so loud

why do they keep me up

why did she say those things

why did she act but once

why does she toy with me

why does she think she does not

why has the time gone by

So here we sit at 5:35

5:36 and we are still alive

people care you know

they really do

I think they do

sometimes I wonder why

very repetitive verses, spice it up a little, add a little bit more life into it. That being said, everything in the poem is true. We always wonder things, whether it be as deep as why are we even alive, others, are just... wondering. But we always will get an answer soon enough. I like this poem. So true.
