Alien

I
am
not
here.

I focus
on shadows
instead of my thoughts,
entranced
as they drift,
Dancing,
past my weariness
and clouded mind

I
am
not
here.

Hypnosis-
Jeopardising all
That I've come to
Love.
But she speaks
and I cannot hear.
I cannot
Feel.
I just nod
along to the words,
and she has not noticed.
She has not noticed.

I am an Alien in this place
only vaguely aware
of the customs
of these Strange Creatures.

do not
belong
here.

Tell me about it. I know what you mean and looking back a few years into my poetry collection would give you exactly the same type of poetry. Nice use of structure and metaphor. Good stuff!

Yes i have to agree at times we've felt alienated
people to tend to shut others out just because
thats how the world can be at times but,
dont feel the need to fit in all the time
its good to be unique.
Great poem keep it up!
