Slave to Time

Slave to Time

A Poem by Ruby

Awoken from the small death of sleep
by a series of synchronised beeps,
and with little reason beckon into the cold and dark,
no doubt of it's intention and no rebellious remarks.

The unfaltering zombies of life they wander,
effortlessly growing blue-eyed and blonder.
They congregate and salivate at the merest call of bells
led by glowing crimson numbers in their safe metallic shells

Ah, what a delightful obediance

this reminds me of school days ^^
There is a great rhythm and i like your use of words
"Ah, what a delightful obedience"
are you being scornful dear ruby?
i wouldn't like to think so...
