Blue Rain

Blue Rain

A Poem by Gypsy
"

Lost love and feeling blue ...

"

Soft Blue Rain
Graces my face
Like a blue bouquet
Of velvet petals

Embraced in love
Laced with hope
My heart is a wheel
Aching to spin

A kiss of blue
On cheeks of roses
A twisted heart
Coiled with pain

Brazen Lust
To sear the mortals
Seize the soul
And forever haunt

More Blue Rain
Is coming today
Discontent and dismayed
In this violet haze

Love the imagery this piece inspires. The emotions become so clear with your word choices like "velvet petals" and "violet haze". I quite like the short lines, and the break down of the stanzas. Very impressive, incredible job!

I like what you did with this metaphor. Losing a love that meant so much is never easy and the pain seems to linger and linger, great write
