Ravished

Ravished

A Poem by Gypsy

Ravished

Ravished and Black
The day has been long
The nights’ bitter chill
How it scours the soul

As eternity and a day
Like a knife all blade
Ravished and torn
Discontent and dismayed

A day at a time
Ravished and Alive
My soul shall bleed
That my mind be freed

Transform my wandering soul
Take my severed hands
That bleed as scarlet
Pure and soft as satin sands

With the deepest love
And life's vital force
Beauty be formed
By this ravished soul

For we are blessed
Touched and freed
By the scars that we bleed
