Deja VuA Poem by GypsyPoemDéjà Vu The days of past, are the dust of time A reflective view, of a wondrous climb Reaching out to the distant stars Ambitions led us, away and afar In search of our weathered selves Rummaging thru the dusty shelves Our dreams lay safely tucked away As Déjà Vu comes back to stay So many things that could have been The choices, decisions, our mortal sins Straying behind us, a fragmented soul Harboring regrets, without parole Gone are the days of wild ambition Replaced with solitude and fruition Those good intentions we hoped to apply Have slipped away and drifted to die The river of life has forged its course We’re washed ashore, filled with remorse Déjà Vu sets in once again Haunting us like a ravenous wind Hold close your memories of days of old As they soothe and warm your wanting soul Find a peace in what ‘once was’ Know the wisdom of your cause Quiet calm will come back again Blow the dust away, into the night wind… By CC Gypsy All Rights Reserved 4-12-14 © 2014 GypsyAuthor's Note
