ReflectionsA Poem by GypsyDedicated to my late husband and my kids Father, who passed this last September.Reflections Tender memories Linger and fade In somber reflections Of a life that once was My soul lays bare To bleed in misery My heart is desolated Tormented by sorrow As I listen to songs Those sentimental songs That we used to know That we used to love How did the winds of life Bring us here? To this tragic and visceral reality? Bewildered and forlorn With bits and pieces Of all of our yesterdays Of our lives’ once lived I am suspended in time As I reconcile myself To this loss Of a life that once was I must free you in peace To run fast and strong Like the black stallion You always said you were Run free Your green eyed, long haired friend Leaves you to rest In quiet peace my love, Always and forever By Gypsy 4-14-13 For Isaac © 2013 GypsyReviews
