To Mother

This is an older poem. I wrote it for my mother about seven years ago.

 

The bearer of this poem

is honest, true, and kind.

She's very understanding

and bravely speaks her mind.

 

She counsels me and guides me

so I won't run astray;

And faithfully conducts me

towards the right and godly way.

 

On this Mother's Day I wish

to grant her all her dreams.

But, alas, her hopes are high

which I cannot reach, it seems.

 

Although I cannot give you

all that you wish to be,

I will strive my whole life through

to repay your love to me.

wonderful write..great thoughts to a great person in our lives..she must be a great mother that you say all these nice words about her..i am sure she deserve it and more..much more..in our folklore ..a mother comes first to almost everyone except God..this is a very heartfelt writing ..i really enjoyed it..thank you
