Things I Never Did

There are a lot of things I never did. Lots of things I should've done. Lots of things you did to me.

I never went to the cinema with you
or mentioned i knew you hated being seen with me
Never went on a road trip
or let you know i knew you didn't like journeys
Never went out to dinner
or remarked i knew all your favourite foods
Never got to know your friends
or said i knew you felt ashamed of me
Never went to a concert with you
or told you i knew you took her instead
Never asked how your day was
or told you i knew where you'd been
Never asked why you didn't buy me presents
or revealed i knew you got some for her
Never told you how much i loved you
and never hurt you as much as you hurt me
