That Old Door

That Old Door

A Poem by Vela June (or aira isane)

I lived in a house
Where my heart got hurt.
I had an old door.

I built the wise house
For my naive heart.
I kept the old door from before.

I built the experienced house
To protect my broken heart.
I kept the creaky door from before.

I built the strongest house
To let rest my weary heart.
I kept the rotting door from before.

I built the frozen house
To stop my beating heart.
I kept the burning door from before.

I tore down my house
To expose my fragile heart.
I kept open the old door from before.

To me, this is filled with a lot of pain. You leave something, only to find that the new place is as worse as the last. A never ending cycle. I enjoyed this very much and hope to read more of your interesting style.
