But I am still alive

But I am still alive

A Poem by Veil

There is no sound heard by you
And this is just an everyday unevent
But you walked along the woods today
not remembering it is where
you put me to hide
To find only a grave where your emotions had died
Still screaming in angry terror
My mouth wide
and the stinging of your throat
is not really mine.
This is not like before
For now I do not feel
Anything that is real

I love poems dabbling in the pursuit of life, the afterlife and whatever in between. I sense the tragedy in your words, the raw veracity of every line... Sometimes I feel that the greatest blessing of life is that pen that we wield as a sword against the bolts that pummel our helms.

It is a gift to share the vulnerability of one's soul through a smattering of words that resonate profoundly with those barely privy to the writer's pain.

Blood flows through their veins, but only soul through mine.

Thank you for sharing - it was a pleasure gazing into your mind.
