Past

A Poem by Trevor

I have good memories but I must move on

The glasses that she wears are red tinted

Every song she sews seems to make me mourn

But I’m soothed by a nostalgic minute

The dresses that she wore were raggedy

Old and stitched together from forgotten things

Our relationship was a travesty

But I was determined and still did cling

Our daily talks had my hair turning gray

All that existed was regret and blame

Stopped caring about causing some dismay

Had to gather myself and better aim

I am done with this troublesome bad date

I am now focusing my time on fate

This is a very sad poem... sounds like you've been through some hurt. I can relate.... "Our daily talks had my hair turning gray" nothing is more true than this one line. I've been in that position - where everything you say and every conversation you is another knife to the heart. Keep up the good work... can't wait to read more < 3
