On that Frigid NightA Poem by Kayla AmaroIt's about a man who lost his wife.On that frigid night, I once again found my soul crushed, my heart aching when I walked to the park, to the stone fountain where I had met and lost my dear Adrianne. I felt that there was no point in life. All there was left in my being was strife. And no other woman would ever suffice, no other woman could replace my lost wife. On that frigid night, my hands were cold, my teeth were chattering, and my tears froze. I felt completely unconsoled, and worst of all, I felt completely alone. Then the wind whispered in my ear something soft and sweet, though unclear. I jumped to my feet from the fountain in fear for it was the voice of Adrianne I could hear. On that frigid night, I looked up to the sky, I looked to the stars, to the moon uphigh. I burst into tears and continued to cry when I saw Adrianne's face in it, begging me not to die. I could hear a ballad's sweet tune arise. I looked to the moon, into Adrianne's eyes and through my hurt, my agony, and my cries I asked to dance with her until sunrise. On that frigid night, I danced with the moon to our wedding ballad's melody and smooth tune. Through the music of the night, our love bloomed. I now have faith and pray that I can see Adrianne soon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPpJOpXp0UA
