The Dreaming

The Dreaming

A Poem by Bibliotroll Jack

I dream to be a dreamer
And journey throughout time
To find imagination
And ponder faerie rhyme

A dreamweaver will be my guide
She will light the way
And loom a magic tapestry
In fanciful array

I’ll frolic with a cheerful troll
With fluffy lion’s mane
Bearing gifts of dandelion
And dancing in the rain

A bookish pixie reads a tale
Of realms I cannot see
Until I open inner-eyes
And set my spirit free

To find my intuition
A sprite with wings and horn
Exploring gifts and astral spheres
Where consciousness is born

I’ll meet a gentle giant
With calm and soothing smile
Whose wisdom will remind me
That I must dream a while.

I will not fear creative thought
Nor hide from the unknown
A warrior-elf protects me
When inspiration’s sewn

No creatures lurking in the dark
Will drain my vital force
If thorns rip through my tender skin
I’ll bleed, but stay on course

I dream to be the dreamer
And wish to be in dreams
The muse of a poetic love
Where art and passion gleams

For, here I am the goddess
I bloom and shine my light
The Dreaming is essential
Today, and all the night

I like the idea behind the poem, I just feel that all of the ideas are jumbled up. There seems to be one major idea here, but its surrounded by all of these other ones which take away from it. I would suggest that you take out some of the lines that don't seem to mean anything and are there strictly for convenience. Try making every line in the poem really mean something special. Those are just my thoughts. Otherwise, it's great.
