Simply Merry

A simple poem of happiness

My tummy fluttering,

A smile spread wide across my face,

How cherished am I to be in your embrace!

The rush in my bones,

The laughter inside,

Waiting to be free,

I’m held high!

What is this strange feeling?

The exact opposite of depression,

I can’t get rid of it,

But I’m not complaining!

This happiness inside me

Makes me jump, makes me yell!

My heart shared with yours,

Only you and I can tell.

My spiritual high!

Oh where did you come from?!

I’m so free!

No fear or conundrums!

Nothing can hold me back,

With love in my right hand,

Oh please, please.

I hope this happiness never ends.
