The Graceful Graze

I wrote this in the 1st grade, I recently stumbled upon it. Thoughts on this piece? :)

A book is a deer.

Some books are peaceful like a deer,

grazing far in the fields minding it’s own business.

Then they prance from place to place

and it seems like they’re dancing with the breezes.

When you turn the pages of a book and read it,

it is like a deer plucking a leaf from a tree,

feeding himself until he is full.

A cute little poem, and shows a great grasp of language at such a young age. I expect if I were to find any thing I wrote back in grade 1 it would be missing words, and letters, and would be mostly a scrawl.
