Absent

A nonsense poem! Care to decipher?

The mind said to itself, 

"How have I come to this? 

Something peculiar has happened, some event I have missed...

Why I can't recall..... Oh wait! Yes! I've lost myself that's all!

No need for a search party! I'm to far gone!

Nothing is as it seems, all I do is what I please!

Life is now at ease when you've got no noodle!

No fear, pain, no sorrow! Come and join me yes! 

Perhaps for a cup of tea,

and then maybe a little after we could sail the sea!

Bring the cat and an umbrella, 

we don't know what we will endeavor! 

There goes a rocking horse, I bet in the race he'll come first!

Over the grassy plains and through mountains we ride,

on the back of a lion's hide!

The breathtaking wonder of adventuring!

Join in with my melodramatic song and sing!

Everything is much more pleasant when you've lost me,

your mind,

seems like nothing can stop you, not even time!

Follow me! Follow me! Chase you! I'm it!

I'll never get tired of these games!

I feel rich! So rich! As a matter of fact I am rich!

My ecstatic high! I'm flying through the sky!

I'll never be back, I'm off on my own!

Take me to the lion's den! Well have a party and invite everyone in!

Jump around and spin! Do it all over again!

Let it be what it is and cherish what it isn't.

Dream of distant lands that will and have come to be!

Oh please, please! Do not forget to bring me!

Here I am, and here you are.

And though these words sound bizarre,

let them reach to a place in your heart,

where something will stir and tear apart,

take some time just not to care,

and happiness will endure here.

Your mind. Your heart."

My first try at a nonsense poem, I don't even think I can understand it! Thoughts on this piece please! :)

i think this is nice, adventerous, and fast-paced. Takes you to random places with random objects and random actions. Also, the rhymes are cool. It made me smile and yes, we all do need to 'take some time just not to care'. Liked it :)
