Mellow Thunder

Mellow Thunder

A Poem by Kitten
"

Another poem about celebrating the rainy weather :)

"
The dawn arrives,
the sky painted of multiple soft grays,
a warm atmosphere,
the breeze blows,
a small chill scurries up my spine,
refreshing, relieving,
sweet smell of grass and dampened earth
drifts into my nostrils,
inhale, exhale,
the Earth drinking plenty for the
life it holds,
awakened, renewed,
the essence of the land made fresh,
the color of green stands out only in these sweet gloomy grey days,
trees dance in the wind,
and mellow thunder rolls deep inside the hills,
lightning clapping brings exhilarating awe in my heart,
and the tip-tap tip-tap of the of rain drops
as they collect into puddles,
the flowers smile as their thirst is quenched once more.
Nature so alive at this time,
but I nod off into my own slumber,
the symphony of the mellow thunderstorm
fades me into a profound sleep,
how I love the mellow thunder...

I think your personification of the small chill has alot of potential to be expanded on, where does it come from? why choose you? why is it relieving? I like how this is a communion with nature but I feel like the amount you or the speaker feels connected to the event loses it's grandiosity the way it's presented.
