Silent Scream

Silent Scream

A Poem by Kitten

You know my name and you can see my face,
but what lays behind holds no trace.

"Everything is alright",
"Oh no, it's fine",
hidden behind a half cracked smile,
stand these mediocre lies,
yet still no one can see,
no one can tell,
my soul trapped inside wanting to yell.

My pillow is upset,
it dislikes sharing my tears,
and to it I whisper the most deepest of my fears,
all of the secrets it holds,
and so many tears.

Searching for a saviour,
to repair my delicate heart,
to much is building up, falling apart,
starting to claw from the inside and tear myself apart,
my heart will explode,
I don't know where to start.

Deliver me from this state,
thickness of despair,
hear my silent scream,
do not abandon me here.

How long must I live,
going through these motions,
I cannot feel a thing anymore,
not one drop of emotion,
for what can save me now,
after all that has happened,
I don't know anymore,
you haven't realized,
and if you have,
I am obviously

forgotten.

Forgotten...the worst state of apathy. Try to remain visible.
