Purpose Humanity

Purpose Humanity

A Poem by Kitten

Humanity.

How we have come to be.
There is no sure telling as to what we are, why we are here.
Is there something greater than us to answer the questions?

The story of mankind,
the only existence in the vast universe?

Each soul born to live their tale,
what is the purpose of it all?
Constantly going on and on,
is there something needed of proving?
The life we live, the things we do,
what will it all come down too?

I don't get, but does anyone one at all?
One day it will, humanity will fall.

Do not let these words let you down,
for we are a creation of our own,
the purpose given to ourselves,
we have a reason to live.

When your life carries on, as you continue "living",
the "purpose" of your existence starts to linger,
eventually fading,
and disappearing.

Only so much time here on this earth.

So, take hold and clench very close
the time you have left in this existence.

For what else may come to you but this?

"So, take hold and clench very close

I understand the poem. Hard to see any positive in the world. I tried to live like the lines above. I write for peace and hope. People tell me war is man. Man is war. I hope this isn't true. The poem is powerful and logical. I like the question at the end. No weakness in the excellent poetry.
