No more

No more

A Poem by Vanessa Pavelock

cotton onesies

cozy booties

cribs lined

in down feather

blankets

spoonfed morals

safety scissors

sippy cups

with leak-proof

tops

cold mornings

empty beds

traces of

where he

slept

hopeful wishing

lonely nights

browsing alone

in grocery

shops

Please, no more.
